The tapered adapter is used for fixing the tapered center-adjustable bearings(center-adjustable ball bearing or center-adjustable roller bearing)on the shaft without shaft shoulder(see figs. For details). Simple in contstruction, reliable in operatuin abd easy in replacement, it is widely used in texttile, pulp, metallurgical and light industriesas well as in bele transprotation and transprotation equipment, etc.

Tapered adapter compries tightening bush, locknut, lockwasher etc. The tapered adapters with locknut andlockwasher can only be replaced with complete package. The components from different sources are not interchangeable, (equiva-lent adoption of ISO 113/1-1979).
